Ginkgo Gardens is dedicated to providing professional and sustainable gardening services. We understand the importance of working in an environmentally friendly manner and therefore always take the time to consider the effect landscape enhancements can have on the surrounding environment.
We are proud to be ISO 14001 accredited a testament to our sustainable gardening services and strict environmental policy. We work towards these high standards to make sure we minimise any potentially negative effects of our operations and achieve sustainable solutions that better the environment. Our standards are regularly reviewed and improved to ensure we are complying with the latest laws, regulations and environmental requirements.
Waste Management and Recycling
Our team of experts are dedicated to carrying out sustainable waste management and recycling practices wherever possible. Each year we accumulate over two thousand, five hundred tonnes of green waste, all of which is recycled.
Our aim is to encourage as many clients as possible to participate in composting. Not only will we teach them how to compost and explain the benefits, but we will also use any compost from their gardening project directly on their sites, helping to reduce our own carbon footprint. We spread the rich compost onto the beds, using it as an organic top dressing to help the plants thrive. We also create wood chip from any tree work we carry out, which is stored and recycled as woodland mulch.
A green gardening company
Ginkgo Gardens is a green gardening company that strives to offer sustainable services that change the environment for the better. We use green and organic materials to ensure that the seeds we plant have the best possible start in life and do not have any negative impacts on the surrounding wildlife.
Here at Ginkgo Gardens we ensure that our staff has the necessary training, qualifications and experience to achieve the best gardening and landscaping results for our clients. We take training very seriously and understand that it not only helps employees to carry out their jobs to a higher standard, but also allows them to get more enjoyment out of their work. Ginkgo Gardens provides each employee with the opportunities to develop their skills and further their careers by offering training courses, advice and management programmes.
We believe in the importance of learning and encourage all of our staff to take up our offers of in-house training and education. Our more experienced staff love working with new members of the team, sharing their knowledge and even learning a new thing or two themselves!
More recently we have begun developing a new apprenticeship scheme for Housing Association residents and other local people. We have been working closely with the horticultural charity, Groundwork, to provide training and education that will allow individuals to better the environment around them and the community as a whole.
