GINKGO'S NEW NURSERY IN SURBITON.

This spring saw the first stage of our plan to grow our own stock. 4000 herbaceous perennials are bursting forth and will be ready during May.
The second crop is being planned right now and will be based on shrubs and ground cover plants.
Our aim is to grow some of the more unusual plants as well ensuring we don't run out of our customers' favourites.

The space at Surbiton allows us to recycle much of the waste we produce.
Last year we piled up most of the green waste from our maintenance and pruning projects and during December we hired a massive munching machine which chewed it all up. 3 months later we have some excellent compost!!
In addition we are recycling our logs as well as the woodchip from the treegangs for use as mulch and later this year some will be collected by the woodfired energy providers.
