JAPANESE KNOTWEED: GINKGO’S STEM INJECTION TREATMENT

Ginkgo has extensive experience of dealing with this highly invasive weed. Our specially trained and certified operatives deal with Knotweed in a range of different situations, and our most favoured option is the stem injection process. We will usually start with a consultation and site survey to ascertain the extent of the Knotweed problem, and will often combine two treatments: i.e. injecting older stems, and spraying the foliage of younger plants. We keep a record of progress on every visit, and our visits are booked in advance. Our management team will schedule the treatments and provide feedback - which makes us a popular contractor for off-premises landlords, property management companies and housing associations. Stem injection of Knotweed involves injecting a concentrate of herbicide into each cane of the plant, using special applicators specifically designed for the treatment of this very invasive weed.
Japanese Knotweed absorbs the herbicide into the rhizome with a faster absorbency rate than that of spraying the foliage, and is more environmentally sensitive to the surrounding environment. The contracts are fully detailed so you can be assured of what is included/not included with your contract. All contracts will include a visit by a member of the management team to provide you with advice on how we can improve/develop your garden, and a complimentary annual tree survey will also be included.
Alternatively a block of 6 visits is available for clients who need occasional help.
Contracts are tailor-made for each garden to ensure that all needs are met, and we will be happy to offer you options dependent upon your level of expectation. Visits can be made monthly, fortnightly or weekly as required. Prices start from £23.75 + VAT/hour.
